Regular Days at Haskins: Monday - Friday
Evelyn Lowe worked in the special education department of an urban public school system for thirty-five years. After providing direct service to students in self-contained and resource settings for a number of years she began collaborating with both special and regular education teachers to develop and implement instructional and intervention strategies for students in the general curriculum. She is trained in a variety of Orton-Gillingham based instructional programs as well as all aspects of comprehensive reading instruction. She has a Masters Degree in Consulting Intervention from Fairfield University. For the last two years Evelyn worked in New Haven as a Haskins Early Reading Success Project Fellow. For the 2004-05 school year she will work as a Haskins Reading Specialist in Norwalk at Tracey and Wolfpit Schools.
