Wendy North has worked in the field of education for twenty-one years. During the course of her career she has worked as a Special Education teacher in both the public and private sectors. She has a Masters Degree in Special Education and has been a certified member of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators since 1999. For the last two years, she worked as a Fellow in Haskins Early Reading Success Project providing teachers with training in research based reading practices. In the upcoming school year, she will work as a Haskins Reading Specialist in East Haven at Tuttle, Carbone and Momauguin Schools and in Hamden at Shepard Glen School.
