Dana MacKinnon manages a team of attorneys and paralegals responsible for the delivery of all legal services to The Hartford’s Group Benefits Division, a leading insurance carrier providing group disability and life insurance, and related products and services to employers and associations. She previously served as the senior employment law counsel, advising management on employment law issues arising in The Hartford’s U.S. and international locations. Prior to becoming in-house counsel, she was in private practice with the labor and employment firm Siegel, O’Connor, Schiff & Zangari, where she specialized in litigation and appellate matters. She is a frequent speaker on the topics of employee benefits, employee relations and corporate compliance issues.
