Haskins Literacy Initiative

Haskins Literacy Initiative promotes the science of teaching reading through professional development and classroom support for teachers, by designing and conducting research, and by engaging in advocacy to inform public policy and improve reading achievement for every child.

Small Reading LeaderHLI is affiliated with Haskins Laboratories, a private, non-profit research facility, founded in 1935 for the purpose of scientific study of speech and language. Since 1965, Haskins Laboratories also has focused on reading research, quickly becoming a world leader.
