Child Language Studies
At Child Language Studies, we are interested in language development in infancy and childhood. We are currently studying the development of speech perception in infants from 2 months of age to about 2 years of age. We are also interested in parent-infant interaction related to speech and language development. Our current studies of the development of speech perception in childhood include children from 3 to about 14 years of age. We welcome both infants and children who are typically developing and those with developmental difficulties, including autism spectrum disorders.

Our studies are all observational—we do not use any medical procedures— and parents are in the same room with their infants and children at all times.

If you think that you might be interested in participating in one of our studies with your child, you can call us at 203-865-6163, extension 337 for more information, or fill out the form below and we will contact you by phone. All information is confidential. We do not share or sell our contact information with any businesses or outside agencies.

All the fields in the Contact Form, except for your email address, are optional, but the more we know, the easier it will be for us to contact you.
