New Grants: March 22, 2007. Sensitivity to visual speech information in children with Autism Spectrum Disorders to be studied in NIH grant (A-142, Julia R. Irwin, PI). April 6, 2006. Links between production and perception in speech to be studied in NIH grant (A-93, Douglas H. Whalen, PI). Teacher Quality Grant: Adolescent Reading Program: New Funding Opportunities: People: Julia Irwin's audio-visual research was featured in the October 2007 issue of Acoustics Today. Philip Rubin was named as a Fellow of Trumbull College at Yale University on Sep. 20, 2007. Douglas Whalen, Vice President for Research, is presently on loan to the National Science Foundation where he is a program officer for the Linguistics, Cognitive Neuroscience, and Documenting Endangered Languages programs. |
