Reading Study with Dr. Len Katz

clipart art readoingHaskins Labs and the University of Connecticut are conducting a study of reading in young adults. The project is funded by the National Institutes of Health and is aimed at understanding the causes of reading deficiency. The study's project leader is Dr. Len Katz who has more than 40 years experience in this field.

We are looking for people to take part in the study. We are interested in men and women who are between 18 and 30 years old. They may have graduated from high school or may have not finished high school. Or, they may have gone on to college (either community colleges or four-year colleges). We are particularly interested in people who feel that they do not read as well as most other students. But people who feel that their reading is adequate enough are also wanted for the study.

The study requires a participant to take part in several hours of testing. That time is divided into several sessions of about one or two hours each. The sessions may take place over a few months and are scheduled completely at the convenience of the participant. We pay $14 for each hour and there are additional bonuses as well.

If you are interested, please fill out the Contact Form. We'll contact you, answer your questions, and describe the test procedures we will use.
