From I-95 or I-91, take the "Downtown New Haven" exit, also labeled "Route 34". If you are driving north on I-95, this is a left exit. Immediately afterwards, you'll find yourself on an expressway connector, from which you'll have to exit very soon. Take Exit 1, also labeled "Downtown New Haven".¹ Go straight through the traffic light and park in the Temple Street Garage on your right. There are other parking options on Crown Street (two blocks to the right), and you can also enter the Temple Street Garage from there. Street parking is not recommended; there are meters everywhere, and they are active on Saturdays.

¹1If you are coming from I-95 north or from I-91, you need to cross over very quickly to the right-most lane of the connector to catch Exit 1, despite often heavy traffic coming from behind. If you miss Exit 1, don't panic. Take Exit 2 or 3, turn right onto York Street (just after Exit 3, one block after Exit 2), then right again onto George Street (going in the direction you came from), drive three blocks, turn right onto Church Street, and right again at the next traffic light.
