Abstract Presents correct predicted discrimination functions for speech and music data previously reported by the authors (see PA, Vol 53:10801). The corrections, however, still support the principal conclusion of that study: nonlinguistic and linguistic stimuli synthesized with different rise times are perceived categorically.
